It’s the second #givingtuesday on our Family Advent Calendar. And this one is in honour of trees. As you may know, we lost the giant Norway Maple in our front yard this year. The city of Toronto had to remove it because it was growing old and hollowing out! No worries, it will be replaced next spring with a native tree. [We’re hoping for a Sugar Maple or a Red Oak!] In the meantime, we’re looking to improve the forests all around us.
So, today, we’re giving to Forests Ontario. Their mission: to be the voice of Ontario’s forests by supporting forest restoration, stewardship, education and awareness. One of their most amiable goals: to make Ontario’s Forests greener to meet the provincial government’s goal of 50 Million Trees by 2025.
Awesome! Now, there’s a cause we can put our hearts into!! Do check out Forest Ontario’s Community Engagement Page to see how you can volunteer, become a member, or donate to their good cause!
How are you giving back today?
