Get ready for some Monday Fun!
Today, we’ve got a vlog AND a giveaway!
A few weeks ago, our sponsors at iÖGO nanö sent us a back-to-school challenge! Could we pack a lunchbox in 5 minutes or less? You bet we could! In fact, Bea was able to make 2 entirely different lunches in 2 minutes! How did she do it? Watch our v-log and see for yourself:
Once again, here are our…
Tip 1: Choose Easy-to-Slice Fruits, Veggies and Proteins!
Instead of carrots and celery, we slice cucumbers and peppers. Not only does this cut down on prep time, it makes it easy for the kids to do the prep work themselves! We also pre-wash berries, cube block cheese, and get our lunch meats out of their packages and into large glass containers right after we do our grocery shopping! 15-20 minutes of prep-work, and you’re ready for the week!
And did you know there are additional veggies packed right into the new iÖGO nanö peach-carrot, banana-squash, and blueberry-beet flavoured cups? Game on!
Tip 2: Find Foods that Fit!
The kids are also big fans of the iÖGO nanö strawberry & pineapple-cherry tubes because you can freeze them overnight and they’re ready to eat by the lunch hour! And, as they defrost in the lunchbox, they keep other stuff fresh and cool!
Tip 3: Keep it Together!
We keep all the cold stuff together on a “lunchbox” designated shelf in the fridge. It’s easy to access in the mornings. And midnight snackers know our lunchbox items are off limits! We do the same with shelf-stable foods in the cupboard!
So, thanks, iÖGO nanö, for the inspiration to streamline our morning routine and to help others do the same!
And hey, lucky Canadian readers, I’ve got a GIVEAWAY for you! 2 lucky Lunchbox Season readers will each receive 2 grocery-store vouchers for the free iÖGO nanö product of their choice! To enter, comment below with a quick “iÖGO!” or tell me what your favourite flavour of yogurt is! Don’t worry if your comment doesn’t show up right away! I have to “approve” comments, and I only do so once or twice a day. For a second entry, “like” our Facebook page or, if you already like us, comment on our iÖGO nanö Facebook post using #iogonano. I’ll leave the contest open until 11:59 pm on Friday, September 30th. After a random drawing, I’ll notify the winners by email on Monday, October 3rd, 2016.
