Welcome to The Lunchbox Season’s Family Advent Calendar 2014!
It’s the last day of November and the first day of Advent!
So, for the sake of clarity, we’re calling this our Family Advent Calendar Day O!
Today is the first of our Sketch-It Sundays.
Each Sunday in Advent, we’ll be pulling off some inventive book illustration projects.
And, of course, you’re invited to try your hand at it too!
First, up, we’re going to try to put our own spin on a Christmas Classic.
Today’s illustration prompt?
Re-illustrate Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas!
First, take turns reading the book aloud.
Then, using your own paper and the art supplies of your choosing, try to re-imagine what The Grinch looks like, and all the Whos in Whoville, too.
Illustrate at least three key scenes or descriptions from the classic poem.
I’ll post the family’s results as they become available!
