4 Donate to the WWF

It’s a giving day here at the Lunchbox Season. Today, we’ll donate to the WWF.

We wholly support the mission of WWF:

To stop the degradation of the planet’s natural environment and to build a future in which humans live in harmony with nature, by:

  • Ensuring that the use of renewable natural resources is sustainable.
  • Promoting the reduction of pollution and wasteful consumption.
  • Conserving the world’s biological diversity.

The kids’ favourite way of supporting this non-profit is to adopt an animal. This year, for instance, the Asian Turtle is on our watch list.

According to the WWF:

Tortoises and turtles are among the oldest of all living reptiles, evolving very little in the 200 million years they have lived on the planet. There are around 89 species of Asian tortoises and turtles, all of which are threatened. They are the most sought after in the illegal wildlife trade, but are also threatened by hunting and habitat loss.

You can donate to the WWF’s Snowleopard SOS here or adopt an animal here.
